Why no individual pets are ranked
Every pet in the same genus grants exactly the same owned effects — a Klaw at Lv. 3 gives the same +30 HP, +2 Critical Hit and +1 Might as any other Cogni pet. What separates "good" pets from bad picks is only how easy the monster is to farm, because each pet needs about 105 kills to max. A pet whose monster stands next to your questing route is worth more than a tier-S pet you will never farm.
